2008
Now it’s over I feel like it’s been a speedy journey to where I am now. 2 of my biggest lifetime achievements actually happened this year — moving to London and running my own company full-time. On paper it’s very few words but it’s been a huge amount of effort to actually pull off, I’m pretty proud.
I managed some more travelling too, 2 weeks in the Caribbean with Sarah and some time in Amsterdam with both Sarah and Josh. Both times were different, but pretty awesome in their own right.
Read some great books too, really got into Charles Bukowski, I’ve read every novel he’s written now; I love to read about his self-destructive lifestyle and how so much of himself gets put into each book he’s written — even though he never admitted it, you could tell they were semi-autobiographical.
Fully aware the country (even most of the world) is affected by the recession, I feel like 2009 is going to be the year it all happens for us at JohnnyTwoShoes. We have some sweet deals on the table, more that a few people want a piece of us and it feels great to have this attention right now.
Finally, the cliché of this time of year, Happy New Year.
