Free Games
My luck never runs out! I just got another free game through the post, Play accidently re-sent an old order from before Christmas. Midnight Club L.A. It’s a pretty good game so now I guess Josh has a copy too! Just got my copy of Skate 2 as well, not for free though. Still, psyched about multiplayer later.

Install Flash Player 10.0.12.36 →
This is a mirror of the adobe flash player. The Adobe site is so slow so it made sense to me to mirror this version (10.0.12.36) for Safari, Opera, Mozilla & Chrome (Windows).

Windows 7
I’ve been running Windows 7 on my laptop the last few weeks and it’s somehow made my battery last an extra hour! So far I’m pretty impressed, it has me thinking about switching back to PC since I’m sitting pretty firmly in the Mac camp at the moment. The coolest feature has got to be the window management stuff, Aero Peek is so awesome it makes checking out stuff in other...

Camden
I had a pretty fun time in Camden last night, I met my best friend from uni, Tom and we had a good catch-up (the last time I saw him was in Beijing nearly 2 years ago). The night was quite varied and there were so many places to go that we just had 1 beer and moved somewhere else. It felt like uni again really, the best bits.

My alarm is always something I ignore at the weekends but the doorbell is not, that sound is associated with packages and posties - like a dog would get excited about walkies. I am thrown into an instant state of searching, where are my trousers? What can I get away with? It has been known, in desperate circumstances, for me to accept a package in a dressing gown with no cord, how do you sign? I...

New Window
If you have a place where users can post links, such as a forum, you can control which content opens in a new window and which stays in the same window with this simple jQuery $("div#yourdiv a[href^='http']").attr("target","_blank"); What this will do is look for links in a specified div (in this case with the id yourdiv) and then check to see if they start with http (this allows for https), if...

OSX Problems shutting down?
If you’re having problems shutting down and restarting since updating to 10.5.5 then you should try the magic OpenHaltRestart file that sets things straight, it even got sleep mode working for me on my Asus P5KC. You should use the Kext Helper to install this. OpenHaltRestart_1.0.3.kext.zip (32Kb)

Invalid or Non-Increasing CFBundleVersion
Boring I know, but it could come in handy for someone who’s hit the same problem I have with iPhone version numbers. When we first uploaded HighSpeedChase to the AppStore, I’m sure the CFBundleVersion was 1.7 (on their site it says 1.0.0) so I tried uploaded version 1.1.0 but it produces the error wrong version number. When I uploaded version 1.8 (even though on iTunesConnect the...

2008
Now it’s over I feel like it’s been a speedy journey to where I am now. 2 of my biggest lifetime achievements actually happened this year — moving to London and running my own company full-time. On paper it’s very few words but it’s been a huge amount of effort to actually pull off, I’m pretty proud. I managed some more travelling too, 2 weeks in the Caribbean with...
